Clear Cache for a Specific App

Settings → Apps
Open Settings. Tap Apps (also called Applications or App Management depending on your Android version).

Find and tap the app
Scroll to the app you want or use the search icon. Tap it to open the app info page.

Storage → Clear Cache
Tap Storage. You will see the cache size shown. Tap Clear Cache. The app keeps all your data and settings — only temporary files are removed.
Clear Cache vs Clear DataClear Cache removes temporary files only — safe and reversible. Clear Data removes everything including your login and settings — use only if you want to fully reset the app.

Open Chrome → tap three dots → Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → select Cached images and files → Clear data.

No. Cache contains only temporary files created to help the app run faster. Your photos, messages, logins, downloaded music and app settings are not in the cache and are completely unaffected.
Android manages cache automatically. Only clear it manually when an app is misbehaving, when troubleshooting performance, or when storage is critically low. Routine cache clearing is not necessary and just means apps take a moment longer to load the first time after.
