Turn Off Facebook Notifications on Mobile

    Tap three lines → Settings & Privacy → Settings → Notifications

    Open Facebook. Tap the three lines (bottom right on iPhone, top right on Android). Tap Settings & Privacy → Settings. Scroll down and tap Notifications.

    Adjust by notification type

    Each notification category (Tags, Comments, Friend Requests, Marketplace, Groups, Pages, Birthdays etc) can be toggled on or off individually. Tap any category to see options: push notifications, email notifications, and SMS. Turn off the ones you do not want without affecting others.

    Click the bell icon → Notification Settings

Block Facebook Notifications at the Phone Level

For complete silence: iPhone: Settings → Notifications → Facebook → toggle Allow Notifications off. Android: Settings → Apps → Facebook → Notifications → toggle All Facebook notifications off. This blocks all notifications from the app at the OS level — quicker than the in-app settings.

Unsubscribe from email notifications separatelyDisabling push notifications in the Facebook app does not stop Facebook from sending you notification emails. To stop emails: facebook.com/settings/notifications → scroll to Email notifications → turn off email types. Or mark Facebook emails as spam in your email client to unsubscribe from all at once.
