How to Delete Reddit Account (Desktop)

Log in on desktop at reddit.com
Reddit account deletion must be done on a desktop browser — the mobile app does not have this option.

Click your username → User Settings
Click your username or avatar in the top right corner. Select User Settings from the dropdown menu.

Scroll to the bottom of the Account tab
On the Account tab (the first tab), scroll all the way to the bottom until you see Deactivate Account.

Click Deactivate Account
A popup appears asking for your username, password and a reason. Fill these in. Tick the confirmation checkbox that you understand deactivation is irreversible.

Click Deactivate and confirm
Click Deactivate. Your account is immediately and permanently deactivated — there is no grace period or undo option.
What happens to your posts and comments?Your posts and comments remain on Reddit after account deletion — they are just attributed to a deleted account rather than your username.
