Deleting a Stubborn Blank Last Page
Blank pages at the end of a Word document are usually caused by an extra paragraph mark that cannot be deleted normally. Here is how to fix it:
- 7
Show formatting marks
Press Ctrl + Shift + 8 (or click the paragraph symbol ΒΆ in the Home tab) to show hidden formatting marks. You will see paragraph marks (ΒΆ) as dots or symbols.
- 8
Select the paragraph mark on the blank page
Click directly on the ΒΆ symbol on the blank page to position your cursor there. Then select it.
- 9
Change its font size to 1pt
With the ΒΆ selected, change the font size in the Home tab to 1 (the smallest possible). This shrinks the paragraph mark so small it no longer forces a new page. The blank page disappears.
