Change Netflix Password (Browser)

  1. 1

Go to netflix.com and open Account settings

Sign in to Netflix in any browser. Click your profile icon in the top right → Account.

  2. 2

    Security → Change password

On the Account page, find the Security section (scroll down if needed). Click Change password. Enter your current password, then your new password twice. Click Save. Netflix may email a confirmation.

Forgot Your Netflix Password?

  1. 3

Click Forgot Password on the sign-in page

On the Netflix sign-in screen, click Forgot Password? Enter the email address on your account. Netflix sends a reset link. Click the link in the email (valid for 24 hours), enter and confirm your new password.

After Changing Your Password

Netflix will ask whether to log out of all other devices or stay logged in. Choose log out of all devices if you suspect someone else has access to your account. This removes all active sessions on TVs, phones, computers and tablets — everyone will need to sign in again with the new password.

Can I Change Netflix Password in the App?

No — like most Netflix account settings, password changes are only available through a browser at netflix.com, not through the iOS, Android, or TV apps. After changing in the browser, re-enter the new password in the app when prompted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Account → Security → Manage access and devices shows all devices currently signed into your account with the device type, name, and last sign-in date. Remove any devices you do not recognise by clicking Sign Out next to them. Then change your password to prevent the removed user from signing back in.
You may be trying a different email address than the one used to create the account. Try any other email addresses you own. If still not found: check if you signed up via Apple (Sign in with Apple — Netflix may have generated a private relay email), Google, or Facebook. Contact Netflix support at help.netflix.com if you cannot find the account.
