Change Apple ID Password on iPhone or iPad

Settings β tap your name at the top
Open Settings and tap your name (Apple ID) at the very top of the screen.

Tap Sign-In and Security
Find and tap Sign-In and Security.

Tap Change Password
Tap Change Password. Enter your current iPhone passcode when prompted (not your old Apple ID password β your device passcode).

Enter and confirm your new password
Type your new password. Apple requires: at least 8 characters, uppercase and lowercase letters, and at least one number. Confirm the new password and tap Change.

System Settings β your name β Sign-In and Security
Click the Apple menu β System Settings β click your name at the top of the sidebar β Sign-In and Security β Change Password.
Change via the Web

Go to appleid.apple.com
Sign in β click Sign-In and Security β Change Password. Useful if you are on a non-Apple device or want to change it from a browser.
After changing your passwordYou will be signed out of iCloud on all devices. Re-enter your new password on each device when prompted. Any app or service using your Apple ID (iCloud, App Store, iMessage etc) will ask you to sign in again.
Forgotten your Apple ID password?On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot Password or Apple ID β follow the account recovery steps. You can reset via trusted phone number, trusted device, or recovery key if you have one set up.
